Here is the hair cut that I am thinking about making my own. What do you all think? Quite different than my SUPER long hair, huh? I am not sure if I will go thorugh with it, but I think it is time for a change, and I don't mean from Barack Obama. LOL! Let me know what you think!

[ANOTHER] NEW PUPPY!
It's official, WE ARE CRAZY!!! On Sunday we got another dog. He is sooooo SUPER cute! His name is Jeffery and he is a Pomeranian Poodle mix, or PomyPoo. Mom really wanted a dog that we can have indoors, so a poodle was the perfect match. They are hypoallergenic and they don't shed! He is a wonderful addition to the Cosgrove family. He is overall the perfect indoor dog. He goes to the bathroom outside, and isn't skiddish. His only problem is that he doesn't like to be in his crate, if he is in there he will WAIL! But I guess that is a good thing, it means he is a people person. Another plus is that he absolutely LOVES Lyla! He is such a wonderful little guy. I will attach a few pic's! And you don't have to tell us, we know we are insane! =D

LYLA'S DEDICATION TO THE LORD
As you all know, Lyla got dedicated on Sunday. It was such an amazing and emotional time. It was truly wonderful. Most of the family cried, including me. I know Lyla had no idea what was going on, but I was still so proud of her and of the woman she is going to become. It was weird to see how far we have come in this last year. It has almost been a year since I found out I was pregnant. But standing on that stage while Lyla was getting dedicated I was the happiest I have been in a long long time. I just love Lyla so much and I am so excited to see her grow and change. I will attach a few things with this post including the video for those of you who couldn't be at the dedication. I apologize in advance for the video. One of my friends from church was taping it but she didn't know it was on video so you see her lap a lot. LOL! But you will get the majority of it Enjoy!

SORRY...
I am so sorry that I haven't posted much lately. I have been extremely busy with all of the usual stuff. So, I bet you want to know what is going on in the Cosgrove house hold? Well for starters Brandi got home safely from Bahrain. She is now driving around in a new Mini Cooper (it is adorable BTW). Alexa is almost done with her first semester of high school. Dad just celebrated his 55th birthday. Mom is super busy with work, but is very thankful to have a job in this dying economy. Lyla is growing like a weed and can now grab things and put them to her mouth. She also loves gumming her tongue. She is getting dedicated to the Lord on Sunday (will post pic's). And me, well I am just chillin' as usual. I am really excited to have 2 weeks off, and am still loving being a mom. So that is what is going on lately in Congress. I will post some random pictures just for fun!!! Love ya all!

ALEXA'S 2008 CHRISTMAS CHOIR CONCERT
Last night was Alexa's first choir concert of the year. It was a very enjoyable performance, though it was odd to be the spectator when I am usually the one up there, nevertheless I had a very wonderful time. Alexa was awesome. They did a song with some choreography and she was the best of them all! They also had the privilege of featuring a very famous pianist, Alpin Hong, in there concert. He was also their accompanist. So here are a few pictures from last night and also the front and back of the program. See if you can find Alexa's name! Sorry that the pictures are kind of bad quality, you know how it is in a theatre!! =D

A BLAST FROM THE PAST...
So I thought that I would share with you all a very awesome, and old, picture of my dad. Yesterday my Aunt Cathy sent us a Christmas card, and inside there was a very cool picture of my dad as a teenager. He was about 15 or 16 when the picture was taken. He is playing his favorite sport-football-in his backyard. When he first showed me the picture he said, "See! Here is proof that I was skinny once!" I though it was a very good picture of him, he was quite a handsome young man. Love ya daddy!!!

LYLA IS THREE MONTHS OLD!!!
As I told you all in my Thanksgiving post, Lyla is now officially three months old! She is growing up so fast. She now weighs 12 pounds and 5 ounces. She smiles all the time and has discovered her hands. I just fall in love with her more and more each day! I will attach her three month picture!
THE MOST THANKFUL DAY OF THE YEAR
Happy Thanksgiving to all!!! I hope that everyone who follows my blog had an AMAZING Turkey day! This is such a wonderful day to sit and really think about what we are thankful for. But we really should be thankful everyday huh? The Bible says, "in everything give thanks..." I just wanted to let you all in on what I am most thankful for. First off, I am thankful for my Mom, Dad, and all my crazy siblings! =D I am also thankful for my beautiful house and my adorable Billy! But most importantly, I am thankful that God chose me to be the mother of my beautiful daughter Lyla Jayne Cosgrove. That is what I am thankful for this Thanksgiving. I love you all! Happy Thanksgiving!

FIRST OFFICIAL WINTER STORM
When I woke up this morning it was pouring! I know that it is Thanksgiving tomorrow and all, but I am so thankful for the rain! (no pun intended) Our dry Arizona soil really needs it. Here are some pictures of the storm from our back and front yards. It kind of looks like tornado weather! YIKES!!!

ALEXA'S 2008 VOLLEYBALL BANQUET
Tonight was Alexa's end of the season banquet for volleyball. It was an awards night/pot-luck dinner. It was quite an enjoyable time. Alexa had many good things said about her from her coach and friend Kristi Hopkins. However, Alexa did not win the MVP award which everyone though she deserved, but she is being a good sport about it, and is happy for the girl who won it. For anyone who doesn't know, Alexa is an AMAZING volleyball player!!! She will always be an MVP in my book! Great job Lexy!

This is Alexa's official volleyball certificate

The team made these "volleyballs" and had them all up on the wall. I think they are really neat!
Alexa hugging her coach. Sorry for the bad picture quality, there was really bad lighting in the cafeteria.
Last but not least, Lexy posing for a shot with her daddy! He is so proud of her!!!

LETS GO COYOTES!!!!
Last night I went to my very first Phoenix Coyote's hockey game. I had such an awesome time. We had the nose bleed of the nose bleeder seats, but that was cool because we could literally see EVERYTHING!!! We were playing the Chicago Blackhaws - unfortunately they one after over time and a shoot out =( - but it was still a great time. Alexa had invited her friend Emily from school because we had an extra ticket. I was really pleased with my Coyote experience. Hopefully we will win the next game!!! Go COYOTES!!!!

GOD MOVES IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS
Last night was one of the best Youth Groups that I have been to since I have been going to En Fuego (Community Alliance's Youth). First we started out with a few games and worship songs as usual, but after that YP (Pastor Ryan) comes up and tells us that we won't be splitting up in groups today. Instead we are going to hear from someone in our very own youth group. So this new girl named Elizabeth that I have never seen before comes up and gives a very moving testimonial. I almost cried. I felt connected to her immediately. It was so brave of her to get up and share her life with us. As a result of her testimony about 15 kids stood up and either gave their lives to Christ or committed to Him to turn back on the right road, (I was one of the people who stood up.) So after all of that YP said that we were going to partake in Communion. And then he said that we were going to something extra special. We were all given glow sticks and at the same time we were all going to break them as a symbol of our commitment to God. Finally once all our sticks were broken we sang the song "Amazing Grace." It was truly the most amazing night in En Fuego history. God truly does move in amazing and mysterious ways.

HAPPY VETERAN'S DAY!
I just wanted to give a shout out to all veterans in this country. Thank you so much for your service and protecting our freedom as Americans. I want to give an extra special shout out to my sister and hero Chief Petty Officer Brandi Williams. If your reading this Bran I just want you to know that I love you and that you mean so much to me. You are honestly one of my biggest hero's. I love ya sis! And thanks for serving!!!

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN SPELL?
Last night Alexa and I had the privilege of attending a Broadway show at the Del E. Webb Center. It was a blast! The musical was hilarious. Unfortunately they wouldn't let us take pictures, because they chose Alexa out of all the people in the audience to go up on stage and be a spelling bee contestant. She got disqualified right away because she had to spell the word "jihad." I mean what normal person knows how to spell that? Anyways, it was a great time filled with lots of laughs. I will post a few scanned items from the musical.

ONE NIGHT AT MACAYO'S
Last night the the fam and went up to Prescott to hang with the crazy Christie's for dinner at Macayo's. It was a blast! I hadn't seen Marissa and E-dog since Mom's birthday, so it was a really nice time. And needless to say there were many laughs as well. So here are some pictures that were produced from this FUN night at Macayo's! There is also an awesome video of Alexa "swallowing" a spoon! Enjoy!
