Friend Makin' Monday

Happy FMM everyone! I look forward to making some new bloggy friends! :D

1. Favorite things about Spring: All the animals finally come out after a long cold winter. I  just love seeing all the baby buddies, all the birds, and, where I live, lots of newborn horses. :)

2. What I'm doing for Spring Break: Well I don't get much of a Spring Break, but I am going to San Diego for a nice three day weekend getaway! Whoot!

3. Favorite Spring flower: Daffodils! They are amazing!

4. Do you have a garden? Our whole front and back yards are gardens! We have TONS of flowers, trees, and fruit bushes. :) 

5. If so, what do you grow? Strawberries, Peaches, Apricots, Plumbs, Apples, Nectarines, Kumquats, Oranges, and Ruby Red Grapefruit.

6. Do you do Spring cleaning? I clean pretty much everyday so our house doesn't  need much cleaning. My mom does do a bit of heavier cleaning during the spring though.

7. What is your weather *really* like right now? Right now the weather is amazing! It is about 75 here today, clear, and sunny. :)

8. Snapped any weather related photos lately? Share one with us!

9. What's your favorite thing to do on a sunny afternoon? Head outside with Lyla in tow and play in the grass. I also love to snap pictures of her playing because the sun makes for some great shots!

10. Favorite TV show right now? [H]ouse M.D. and The Secret Life of the American Teenager

I think...Hugh Laury is INCREDIBLY sexy. Who cares if he is old enough to be my dad.

I should...really do my laundry.

I dream...of being rich and famous.

I want...a new camera. A Canon Rebel to be exact.

I know...that I am beautiful, but it's hard to remember sometimes

I don't like...people who think being loud/stupid is funny.

I smell...pasta cooking.

I hear...The sound of Jay Manuel from America's Next Top Model

I fear...being alone.

I usually...make people laugh.

I search...Google.

I miss...my baby girl. She's napping.

I always...overanalyze things.

I regret...having sex so early.

I wonder...what my life will be like when I am older.

I crave...Midnight Milkyways.

I remember...the day I gave birth to Lyla.

I need...human contact.

I forget...how much he hurt me.

I feel...tired but content.

I can...succeed.

I can't...focus on the past.

I am happy...when I am with Lyla.

I lose...my confidence around pretty girls.

I sing...ALL. THE. TIME.

I listen...to everything around me, and I mean EVERYTHING. I can eavesdrop like no other.

I shop...like a diva.

I eat...unhealthy, but at least my taste buds are happy.

I love...being a mommy.

If life were a movie, which movie would you want to live in?

This is a SUPER tough topic! I am a movie junkie! For real! My whole life is spent quoting movies. But since I can only pick one, I would have to pick...

Next to Forrest Gump, August Rush is one of my favorite movies of all time. It beautifully captures the pure essence and meaning of music. This movie stole my heart from the beginning, and it will always be one of my favorites. Not to mention this movie is where I got Lyla's name from. :) It will forever hold a special place in my heart.

This is a new thing I'm doing. :) Yay! Hopefully it will help you all you get to know me a bit better, and make some new bloggy friends. :)

This week, I want to focus on some of those small things in life that bring you joy. I've had my share of sad this week, and today was no different. I started trying to focus on all of those small things in life that are bringing a smile to my face, some joy to my day, and peace in my heart.

Boy, what a perfect topic for me. I have been feeling quite down this week. This is a great way to cheer me up! Ready? Here we go!
