YUMMY CARROTS

Yesterday Lyla started yet another food. She tasted carrots for the first time and LOVED them! So far she has eaten three different solids and has loved every single one! I am so proud of her, but I am kinda sad that she is getting so big, but I am happy at the same time. Oh, you gotta love these motherhood hormones! Here are some pictures...

A PHOTOSHOOT BY MOMMY ♥

Today me and Lyla were kinda bored so we decided to dress her up and take some pictures. Her dress is from a friend at church. It is meant for a 1 year old, but I though it looked cute anyways. Here is what I produced from the pictures...

YUMMY BANANAS

As of yesterday Lyla started eating bananas! She loved them even more than the sweet potatoes! Before she ate the bananas she finished off some sweet potatoes from the night before. Then I opened up the bananas to give her a taste. She opened up her mouth and I put in a spoon full and she gagged! It was so sad, but silly at the same time. You when you are at a party and you were drinking Pepsi, but you grabbed someone else's drink by mistake and it was root beer. You know that nasty feeling that you get? You like root beer, but you weren't expecting it? Well that's what I think Lyla experienced last night. But once she had a few more bites, she couldn't get enough. She ate half of the bananas plus the rest of the sweet potatoes, and she nursed afterward! She is one hungry baby, but she is still so small. LOL! Here are some pic's!

YUMMY SWEET POTATOES

As of yesterday Lyla started eating baby food. I looked online and it said to start her on yellow/orange veggies first. I decided to go with the sweet potatoes. I was a little worried becasue she hasn't liked her cereal at all. I have stopped giving it to her completely. But my litte girl LOVED the sweet potatoes. She actually opened her mouth when she wanted more. She swallowd big spoons full. Here are some pictures...

SITTIN' ON THE FRONT PORCH

As of yesterday, the Cosgrove's finally have a front deck. Mom and Dad worked on it Friday and finished it on Saturday afternoon. It is so gorgeous. It is made of redwood. What is so special is that Mom and Dad made it with their own two hands. We love it and can't wait to add railing and an overhang, but right now we are just so happy to finally have someplace to sit outside. Here are a few pictures...

Here is what it looked like in the early stages...

LEARNING TO SIT UP

The other day my friend Kristi from church let Lyla borrow Aiden's Bumbo seat. This produce is really cool because it helps Lyla learn how to sit up. She looks so cute sitting in it, and she really seems to like it. Before to long she is going to be sitting up on her own!

A FEW VIDEOS

Hello again! I just wanted to share a few video's with you all. Today I FINALLY caught Lyla rolling over on tape. She is now rolling over from back to tummy like a pro. So here is that video:

This next video is of Lyla making her new sound. It is so funny, plus her face is hilarious! Here is that video:

Finally, this is a video I took of Lyla laughing. She was playing "horsey" with Aunti Lexy. It is a bit dark, but I think you will get the gist. Here is that video:

WINTER WEATHER

As we all know, there is some crazy weather going on in our great state of Arizona. I looked online and there is actually a Winter Storm Warning in effect until 4:00PM tomorrow. So far today it has rained, hailed, sleeted, been so windy I thought the house was gonna blow over, and it has been so dark I have had to turn on all the lights. I am so happy! I just love when it is like this. Well except for the fact that Lyla and I are FREEZING! Oh well, the desert needs the moisture. The Internet also said that it was supposed to snow here in Congress tonight, as well as tomorrow. Awesome! I will post some pic's I took this morning. Oh, and it is pouring right now as I type! How exciting!

Yesterday Lyla officially turned five months old. She is rolling over from back to front a ton! As I posted earlier, she has been eating cereal. She has about a tablespoon at dinner time. She seems to really like it. She is eating like a pro. She now weighs 15 pounds even, and she is 27 inches long. She is getting SOOOO big. Here is her five month picture.

CEREAL

Today Lyla had her first taste of baby cereal. Needless to say she didn't really know what to expect. I think she liked it though. It was so funny to watch her face when I gave her a bite. She only ate about ten bites or so, but it sure filled her up. I can't believe my little girl is already eating cereal. She is just growing up so fast. Tomorrow she will already be five months old. Today she also rolled over from her back to her front. So she has now officially rolled over both ways, but she isn't rolling all over the place yet. But I know she will be soon. Here are some pictures I took of her first bites of cereal. They are so funny!

HOW MANY SUIT CASES CAN YOU PACK IN A MINI-COOPER?

Today Brandi left for San Diego! She is finally going to have a place to put her things. It has been driving her crazy living out of a suitcase for two months. Originally we were going to follow Brandi to Cali with the rest of her stuff this weekend, but she decided to try and jam it all in and leave today. I was kind of skeptical about the idea, but she actually did it! She jammed four suitcases, a few boxes, her uniform bag, her backpack, and a bunch of pillows into her tiny tiny, TINY Mini-Cooper. I give her props for that. You go Bran! Anywho, she is safe and sound in San Diego with her buddy Janeen. Here are the pictures of her PACKED Mini!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME [AGAIN]

Yesterday the family and I celebrated my birthday and the Superbowl. We had a blast! We had hamburgers, coffee punch, and tiramisu made by me! I got a lovely card from the Christie's and Ethen drew me two AMAZING pictures! Brandi got me a 50$ Target gift card (which I spent on jewelry, thanks Bran), and some flowers. Even though the Cardinals didn't will the Superbowl, I still had a great party. I enjoyed watching the game and hanging out with family. Thank you to all who made my 17th so special. Here are some pictures for those of you who couldn't be there!

Ethen arm-wrestling with Lyla. Lyla won!! LOL!

My delicious tiramisu!

I missed a candle! LOL!

Me posing for a shot with my tiramisu!

Lexy did a wonderful job at lighting the candles!
