LYLA IS NINE MONTHS OLD!!!
Yesterday, Lyla celebrated her 9 month birthday! I cannot believe she is only THREE months away from turning one!!! Where did the time go?!?! Ah! Anyways, with 9 months she had to go to the doctor for her well baby exam. She also had to have her blood drawn to check for anemia [it came out negative! YAY!] She weighs 15lbs 2oz and is 25.5 inches long. For those of you who are the praying type, could you please keep Lyla's weight in your prayers? The doctor is kind of concerned with her growth. She has dropped significantly since the last weigh-in. He said if she seems to get back on the normal weight percentile at her one year check up, then he isn't going to worry. She is VERY healthy, and is VERY active, so that's what I think it is...but still, all the prayers help! :) Another AMAZING thing that happened when Lyla hit 9 months: SHE GOT HER FIRST TOOTH!!! Alexa felt her gums today and said she felt a tooth! Its not completly out all the way, but its close! I am so stoked!! I will post a picture as soon as it pops out more! Yay Lyla!! Okay, well, here is her 9 month picture! It is getting harder and harder to get her to stay still! LOL! Love you all!

She is so adorable! I can't believe how old she is already! As for the size...my daughter is freakishly small and after years of testing they have found nothing. Some people are just little I suppose! Hope everything works out well!
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog off a link on baby center and just wanted to let you know that you are doing a great job with your daughter. 10 years ago (wow i cant believe its been that long) I too found out i was pregnant. I was 14 and my boyfriend was 17. He pressured me into having sex. We only did it once but thats all it takes. I was so scared i didnt tell my mom till i was 6 months along. She was born sept 4 99 and was a healthy baby. Shes now almost 10 and it has been a very tough road and im sure its not over. Her dad came into her life when she was 5 yrs old. He had alot of growing up to do but finally realized what he needed to do. I am now 24 and happily married. I have 3 children 9 4 and 9 months. I wish you alot of luck in the up comming years with your daughter. And even though things will seem tough at times and you may even wish you had a "normal" life, it is all worth it.
