YOUNGLIVES CAMP 2009

Wow! That's all I can say to express the amazing time I had this past week. As many of you know, I was headed up to Williams, AZ last Sunday for a YoungLife camp especially for teenage mothers. I didn't really know what to expect, and I was REALLY nervous about being with a group that I didn't even know. But when I got there, it was like I had known these girls all my life. We were all connected by the bond of teen motherhood.

The week went by way to fast. So many amazing - and messy - things took place. The first night, we had to run through this obstacle course in the middle of the night! We ran through the mud, and under a giant water hose. It was INSANE! I felt like I was in the military!

The second day we did what are called Cabin Games. All the different groups dress up in some kind of team uniform. Our group wore our YoungLives shirts, along with all 80's makeup and accessories! It was hilarious! We all looked so rad! :P

Another thing we did was the ropes course. It was a huge course hidden in the pine trees. It was really hard to maneuver, but I got through it! At the end of the course we had to jump off of a platform to the ground. We were harnessed in, but it was still really scary! But I jumped and it was so much fun!

So many other things happened that it is hard to get it all down. You just really had to be there. But let me say this: I rededicated my life to the Lord this week, and I plan on building my relationship with Him, and waiting on Him. I am going to STOP letting my own feelings and emotions get in the way of loving Him.

This week was a very big challenge for me. I did so many things that I would have never even thought of doing outside of camp. I made a lot of friends, and learned a lot about myself, and about others. I learned how to live life to the fullest. :)
