NEW TEETH & PULLING UP TO STAND

So some awesome things with Lyla...SHE HAS TWO TEETH!!! OMG! She is also pulling herself up to stand! Wow! I never thought she would be growing up this fast! I just can't rap my mind around it! She is just growing up so much. Its sad, but happy at the same time. I'm sure all you mother's out there can understand that. :) Anywho, here are a couple of pix. :)

YAY FOR SUMMER VACATION!!!

Hello everyone! Sorry for the delay in blogging, you know how busy summer is! =) Well, I hope you're ready for lots of pictures, because we just got back from a week long vacation in Pinetop, AZ. It was sooooo beautiful! The weather was amazing, and it was oh so relaxing! Tons of cool stuff happened! We had so much fun! The resort we stayed at was amazing! We had our own cabin with two rooms! We all slept very comfortably. It was almost like being at home.

On Sunday, we celebrated Father's Day. Daddy was so surprised! Alexa and I made him breakfast. Eggs, toast, and bacon! He was so happy about the bacon! LOL! We also had made him a HUGE card the day before we left for Pinetop. We put some old and new pictures of us on there, plus some really cool dad quotes. We also put our hand prints on it. =) It was so special. He cried reading it. He was so happy. He also got a new electric razor. He was in Daddy Heaven! Haha!

We also traveled to Showlow Lake, and to Greer. Both places were stunningly beautiful! The weather was great both days. In the 70's! We ate lunch in Greer at a really cute little place. It was so yummy! Lyla tryed blueberry pie! She loved it! That was a fun day. =)

Our vacation was awesome, but we were glad to come home. We are planning on definitely going back to Pinetop again. It was very very fun and relaxing. There was in indoor heated pool, racket ball, pool table, and ping pong. Lyla went swimming for the first time and loved it! It was a great place for the whole family. =) Here are the pictures. LYLA IS NINE MONTHS OLD!!!

Yesterday, Lyla celebrated her 9 month birthday! I cannot believe she is only THREE months away from turning one!!! Where did the time go?!?! Ah! Anyways, with 9 months she had to go to the doctor for her well baby exam. She also had to have her blood drawn to check for anemia [it came out negative! YAY!] She weighs 15lbs 2oz and is 25.5 inches long. For those of you who are the praying type, could you please keep Lyla's weight in your prayers? The doctor is kind of concerned with her growth. She has dropped significantly since the last weigh-in. He said if she seems to get back on the normal weight percentile at her one year check up, then he isn't going to worry. She is VERY healthy, and is VERY active, so that's what I think it is...but still, all the prayers help! :) Another AMAZING thing that happened when Lyla hit 9 months: SHE GOT HER FIRST TOOTH!!! Alexa felt her gums today and said she felt a tooth! Its not completly out all the way, but its close! I am so stoked!! I will post a picture as soon as it pops out more! Yay Lyla!! Okay, well, here is her 9 month picture! It is getting harder and harder to get her to stay still! LOL! Love you all!

PRESENTING BABY EMMA RUTH

On Thursday, May 21st, 2008 the world welcomed another precious miracle! Emma Ruth Monesmith was born around 9AM last Thursday morning. She is so precious! Mom, Alexa, Lyla, and I had the chance to go and visit her on Friday, and she is just so beautiful! She looks just like her mommy! =) For those who don't know, our friends from church, Amy and Cory, already have one beautiful girl named Baylie who is almost two. And they just welcomed little Emma into the world. Congrats to the new parents and big sister! She is beautiful!
