UPDATE TIME

Hey all, I just wanted to give you all a little update....

So Lyla contracted her very first cold the other day. The poor little thing was all stuffed up and had a bad cough. Honestly it looked like her whole face was leaking. Her eyes, nose, and mouth were all running. And on top of that she had to go and get another shot on Tuesday, my little girl is such a trooper. She also had her very first hair cut yesterday. Her little "bangs" were starting to grow to far down her forehead. However, I think I may have cut them back to far. I will post some pictures when I load them on the computer.

We are still in the process of finding out what is going on with Mom's job situation. She is currently still at Remuda, but things are not looking good. They are going to lay off another Nurse Practitioner this week. Mom has an interview in Payson tomorrow for a job that she is seriously considering. She is very stressed out and confused. She asked God to show her clearly what He wants this family to do. She asked Him to either make her LOVE the place or make her HATE it. Either way we know what we are supposed to do. So be praying for her, and for guidance.

Dad is also doing well. He just got to go have a luncheon with some guys who own the Phoenix Coyotes or something like that. I am not really sure what it was. But nevertheless he was really excited. He brought us all back shirts (even Lyla) for the game that we are going to see on the 31st of this month. And they are not in the nose-bleeders this time, they are in the third row! I am so excited!

Alexa is doing great. She is doing great in school this semester and is making even more friends. She even has a little crush on a boy named Justin. LOL! Surprisingly she is not to bummed that we may have to move. Sure we are all upset at the possibility that we may have to pack up and leave..AGAIN! But she said that if we have to move then we have to move. She is becoming more and more mature everyday. I am so proud of the woman she is becoming.
As for me, well I am just patiently waiting for the arrival of my 17th Birthday. I still can't believe that I am going to be 17. Oh and for all you family who is wondering, we are doing a little party (I am making tiramisu!) we are just not sure when it is going to be yet. I won't be next weekend because Alexa and Dad are out of town for Winter Camp. I will let you know. I am also enjoying more and more everyday being a mommy. I love Lyla is much it is crippling sometimes. LOL! I also still LOVE my hair! It is grown on me more and more. Oh and thanks to all of you who saw it and liked it! Gracias!

Well that's basically all that is going on in the Cosgrove Household. We are just hanging in there and seeing where God will take us in the next chapter of our life! Have a great weekend to all!

FOUR MONTH CHECK-UP

Along with turning four months Lyla had to visit the doctor to get her shots. She ended up getting only one shot and an oral vaccine. She did not even cry!!! My little one is so tough! The doctor said that she looked good, and that she was developing property. Her blocked tear duct is looking much better. Overall it was a wonderful trip to the doctor. Lyla was smiling away nonstop! Here is a picture of her rad band-aid!

LYLA IS FOUR MONTHS OLD!!!

Hey all, sorry that this post is a bit late. I have been up in Chino Valley for the past three days helping out the Crazy Christie's! Ethen broke his knee cap so I stayed up there and took care of him after he had his surgery. So I wanted to give you all an update on Lyla. She is now four months old! She weighs 14 lbs 5 oz, and is 23 inches long. She is talking more than ever and loves to laugh at the most random things. I will post a picture of her at four months. Enjoy!

I DID IT!!!!!!!

Okay everyone, I did it, I officially cut my hair!!! I chopped it all off! And I must say that it looks FABULOUS! I am not sure how much was actually cut off, but it was enough to donate to Locks of Love a foundation that makes wigs for cancer children. I am so happy with my haircut, and I am pleased to have helped a little girl to have beautiful blond hair. I think I look very sophisticated with my new hair, and I hope you all like it too. I will attach a few pic's. Alexa also got her hair done, but it is not as drastic as mine. LOL!

HAPPY 2009!!!

Hey all, and welcome to another great year! I am so sorry that I haven't posted much this month. We have been SUPER busy! So what I am going to do is catch you up with what has been going on with me. Ready? Here we go.....

On the 22nd of December Lyla and I had an amazing opportunity to have a FREE photo shoot. Jim Culver is a professional photographer from our church who also lives right here in Congress. He is amazing! Overall he took 67 pictures of Lyla and me. Here are some of my favorites.

On the 25th of December Lyla celebrated her very first Christmas! She got a few really awesome gifts. Aunt Brandi got her her very first high chair which also matches her car seat and stroller, Aunt April and Uncle Larry got her a really adorable purple sleeper, and her grandma Barbara got her some cute outfits and a rattle. I would say that Lyla had a very fun first Christmas. I will also attach some pic's!

On the 26th of December we headed out for vacation in Scottsdale. Our hotel was amazing! We had two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Hanging out in SNOTSdall was sure fun! LOL! We went shopping and went to the Desert Botanical Gardens with Grandpa Joe and Grandma Karen. At the gardens they were featuring some amazing blown glass sculptures by Dale Chihuly. I will attach some pic's.

On New Years Eve the Cosgrove's headed down to the Wildlife World Zoo to check out some awesome animals. This was Lyla's first trip to the zoo! She had so much fun. Her favorite animals were the Ocelot and the Yellow Fish. I will post some of my favorite animal pictures! Oh and just an FYI, well all made it to midnight, well except Lyla that is!
