MY BABY IS ONE

Wow. I have been a mother for a whole year. It seems like only yesterday that my daughter was entering this world. It almost scares me at how fast this first year went by. It makes me want to cherish every single moment I have with her.

Because so much has happened in this first year of Lyla's life, and I do not even have words to express what I am feeling right now, I would like to show you pictures of her and I together. From the time she first entered the world, to now. {Warning: this will be a picture overload.}

I would also like to take you on a journey of how Lyla changed through each month of her first year. Between some of the pictures I will be posting some things that I have written in her baby book throughout the months. :)

Lyla's First Month

• What Baby Can Do: "You are a lot more active and alert. You smile a lot and can almost hold up your head. You move around in your crib a lot too. :)"
• Baby's Personality: "You have the sweetest personality! You stare and smile at everyone. You hardly ever cry."
• Special Notes: "The first month was tiring, but you and I got through it together."

Lyla's Second Month

• What Baby Can Do: "You can finally hold up your head! You scoot around a lot more on your tummy and you can almost roll over."
• Baby's Personality: "You smile at people now! It is so cool to see you smile when I walk into the room. You are also making tons of new sounds and faces."
• Special Notes: "You are so fun to sit and play with. I love to sit and stare at you for hours. I am finally feeling more rested."

Lyla's Third Month

• What Baby Can Do: "You hold up your head pretty well, but are still a little wobbly at times. You are soooo close to rolling over. You discovered your hands and tongue."
• Baby's Personality: "You smile and laugh ALL the time, especially when you see me! :P You also love to snuggle. :)"
• Special Notes: "I just fall in love with you are each passing day. You are the best baby in the world."

Lyla's Fourth Month

• What Baby Can Do: "You can kind of pull up your head without support. Almost rolling over from back to tummy but not visa versa. You can also grab objects."
• Baby's Personality: "You laugh a TON! Smile constantly! You also drool a lot! Haha! You sleep all through the night, and you squirm like crazy. Found your feet."
• Special Notes: "It has been so fun watching you change and grow! I love you more than words can describe."

Lyla's Fifth Month

• What Baby Can Do: "Started rolling over from back to front!!! You did this on my birthday! :D You love your feet, and are starting to push up on your elbows."
• Baby's Personality: "You smile at EVERYTHING!!! You're the sweetest baby I have ever seen."
• Special Notes: "You had your very first bites of rice cereal this month. You liked it okay. :P"

Lyla's Sixth Month

• What Baby Can Do: "Rolling and scooting all over the place. You smile, laugh, and say "mama." You now eat Stage 2 food. :)"
• Baby's Personality: "ALWAYS HAPPY!!! You can make anyone smile."
• Special Notes: "My love for you grows stronger with each passing day ♥"

Lyla's Seventh Month

• What Baby Can Do: "You can sit up for a tiny bit, and can stand with support. You drink juice, say "mama," and scoot all around."
• Baby's Personality: "You are extremely happy ALL the time!"
• Special Notes: "You had your first ear infection this month, but you fought through it like a champ! :)"

Lyla's Eighth Month

• What Baby Can Do: "Sit up completely, Army crawl, wave "hello," feed yourself, eat "people food." You are learning so many new things!"
• Baby's Personality: "So happy all the time. You laugh all the time and are just so hand happy! :D"
• Special Notes: "Things are becoming more difficult as a single mom, but I look at you and know that I can get through it. I love you."

Lyla's Ninth Month

• What Baby Can Do: "You give lots of kisses, say "papa" & "bye-bye." You can pull yourself up to stand. You eat ALL kinds of food. :)"
• Baby's Personality: "Developing an attitude! Haha! But still as adorable as ever!"
• Special Notes: "Lyla, with each passing day I cannot believe how much you grow. I love you more than anything."

Lyla's Tenth Month

• What Baby Can Do: "Kinda starting to walk around while holding things. You give lots of kisses, and are starting to become a Mamma's Girl. :P"
• Baby's Personality: "Becoming more independent, but are still as happy as ever! You smile at nothing! That's how happy you are! :D"
• Special Notes: "You are the most beautiful little miracle I have ever seen. I love you!"

Lyla's Eleventh Month

• What Baby Can Do: "You can now walk with support, crawl wonderfully, mimic sounds, pull up on everything, and are starting to attempt standing alone."
• Baby's Personality: "Extremely happy! :D You smile at everything! So so so happy!"
• Special Notes: "Wow! One month away from your 1st birthday!! I can hardly believe we have been together this long already! I love you soooo much!"

Lyla's Twelfth Month

• What Baby Can Do: "You can now walk while holding my hands, sign "more," give hugs, starting to play with other babies, point at things that you want, eating extremely well."
• Baby's Personality: "Developing an attitude! :P You do not like to be told no. But aside from that, you are as sweet as always. :)"
• Special Notes: "Wow. We made it sweetie. One whole year together! I cannot wait to continue watching you grow. I love you more than anything on this Earth."

Isn't it amazing to see how much she has grown!?! Some of these pictures I haven't looked at in months! Wow! I cannot believe how far we have come in 12 months! I hope you all enjoyed this post as much as I did. :) Thank you for sharing Lyla's 1st birthday with me.
