SUNSHINE & POPSICLES

What is Summer all about? Well sunshine and Popsicles of course! Today, we had plenty of both. I believe the temperature reached about 106 today; that is enough sunshine for the whole year! As far as the Popsicles, well, Dad has unfortunately caught that nasty cold that Lyla brought home from camp. My loving and caring mother brought home some Popsicles for his sore throat. So of course, I just had to have one, and I ended up sharing it with my sweet Lyla.

She just stood there, begging like a dog. With her bright blue eyes shifting back and forth from me to the icy treat, I just could not resist! I lowered the cherry pop into her tiny mouth, and she hesitantly licked it. That was it! She was hooked!

I gave her a few more licks, and this is what resulted:

I think my little girl is developing a bit of a sweet tooth. Well, you know what they say: "The apple doesn't fall to far from the tree." ;) Boy isn't that the truth! Anywho...
